Recent figures have revealed a dramatic increase in the number of people opting to have dental implants. According to the American Academy of Implant Dentistry (AAID), 3 million people a year choose a dental implant and the figure is increasing by 500,000 annually.

Statistics from the AAID show that by 2018 the dental implant market in the United States will be worth $5 billion. The increase in popularity for this dental procedure is perhaps not surprising as the results of an implant give a healthy, natural smile, while preserving the rest of the teeth.
